Rochester Electronics stocks over 12 billion semiconductor die and manufactures more than 70,000 device types to keep legacy electronics in production. As semiconductor lifecycles come under constant pressure, we work closely with our customers and supplier partners to extend them — because real support goes beyond sourcing die. It requires complete manufacturing and test solutions.
5V NOR Flash was once the backbone of nonvolatile memory in embedded designs, supplied by multiple vendors. As technology advanced and demand narrowed, most suppliers exited the market. The industry’s move away from lead-frame packages like SOIC and TSOP left many customers without a path forward.
Rochester has closed that gap. We’ve acquired Spansion 5V NOR Flash die and developed full test and manufacturing capabilities for 44-pin SOIC and 48-pin TSOP packages — giving long-lifecycle applications a reliable, continuing source.
