Take, for instance, the HOTLink® products from Cypress (now Infineon Technologies); even though serial data rates have soared in recent years, these products were the go-to solution for high-speed interconnects a decade or two ago.

HOTLink devices provided solutions from 50Mbs to 1.5Gbs. They supported industry standards such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Enterprise System Connection (ESCON), Digital Video Broadcast (DVB), Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and High-Definition Television (HDTV). They also included a version compatible with the AMD’s AM7968/AM7969 TAXIchip™.

Even though these products are no longer being manufactured, many applications that rely on them continue to operate. Rochester has secured exclusive inventory from Infineon to provide ongoing customer support for these vital applications. Our inventory covers industrial-temperature versions of HOTLink and HOTLink II™ devices. Rochester’s acquired products are based on newly manufactured date codes and are 100% authorized, traceable, and guaranteed.
