Rochester and STMicroelectronics Expand Support for STMIPID02/TR Dual-Mode MIPI CSI-2 / SMIA CCP2 De-Serializer
Ensuring continued availability for long-lifecycle systems
STMicroelectronics is a globally recognized leader in semiconductor solutions, trusted for delivering high-quality components that power secure and reliable electronic systems across industries.
The STMIPID02/TR is a compact, dual-mode MIPI CSI-2 and SMIA CCP2 de-serializer designed for high-performance imaging systems in mobile, industrial, and embedded applications (Ambient Temperature -25 °C to +70 °C). Manufactured using ST’s advanced 65 nm CMOS process, it integrates two independent receivers, enabling seamless connection of both main and secondary camera modules. It is available in VFBGA 49 (3 x 3 x 1 mm, 0.4 mm pitch) package.
With support for up to 1.6 Gbps on the primary MIPI CSI-2 interface and 800 Mbps on the secondary interface, the STMIPID02/TR delivers exceptional bandwidth for high-resolution and high-frame-rate imaging. Its flexible architecture supports RAW6/7/8/10/12 formats, YUV, RGB, JPEG, and SMIA DPCM/PCM decompression, ensuring broad compatibility across diverse sensor ecosystems.
A key advantage of the STMIPID02/TR is its integrated 12-bit parallel output interface operating at up to 200 MHz, offering a streamlined bridge between modern serial camera outputs and legacy or parallel host interfaces. Additional power-saving features, such as an onboard 1.2 V LDO regulator, programmable lane operation, and wake-up mechanisms, further enhance system efficiency.
Rochester Electronics is committed to providing 100% authorized, traceable, and reliable ongoing component availability for customers utilizing this component in designs requiring long-term support. Our inventory eliminates supply risk and ensures compliance with stringent quality and traceability requirements, making it ideal for sustaining production of legacy or long-lifecycle imaging platforms.
