Rochester Electronics specializes in providing authorized distribution and licensed manufacturing solutions for obsolete and end-of-life (EOL) components, catering to multiple markets and legacy systems. We offer continued legacy and mature memory technology support for our valued global customers.
Memory manufacturers like Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron continuously pour resources into cutting-edge NAND and DRAM storage technologies, vital for sustaining present-day systems and applications. Their devices support leading-edge chip manufacturers, such as Nvidia, Intel, and AMD. However, there is limited capacity and support available on legacy and mature memory technology, which is where Rochester comes in.
Rochester’s NAND FLASH non-volatile memory solutions cater to the needs of mature and legacy systems. In some cases, the legacy systems do not need or cannot address the higher-density devices being pushed by the cutting-edge manufacturers. For this reason, Rochester has partnered with SkyHigh Memory and ISSI (Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc.), who both specialize in NAND storage with SLC and eMMC solutions. Together, our partnership aims to meet the mature storage needs of our customers.
Rochester has a broad range of density and package options for SLC NAND, which provides lower-density and higher-performance solutions. Our eMMC offering, which provides compact and cost-effective solutions with a built-in NAND FLASH controller, includes options from SkyHigh covering 4GB to 8GB and from ISSI covering 8GB to 128GB eMMC.
Microprocessors approaching EOL within existing designs still require storage solutions with low-density capabilities. Our memory solutions ensure the continuity of supply and continued customer support for these mature microprocessors.
Additionally, for customers requiring processor support, our extensive portfolio of processors provides continued production of numerous legacy and EOL processors through licensing, die banks, and die product replications, along with our extensive authorized in-stock finished goods inventory.
