Rochester Electronics Expands DLA Certifications Following Successful Audit

Expanded qualifications strengthen support for military and space manufacturing programs

Rochester Electronics recently welcomed auditors from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Weapons Support Qualification Group to conduct an audit of our facilities and operations. The review confirmed continued compliance with our existing Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) program and supported the expansion of our certified manufacturing capabilities.

In addition to the periodic review of current QML qualifications, Rochester Electronics also requested additional certifications for hermetic and non hermetic package classes. As a result, Rochester has achieved certification to offer Class Q (Hermetic B) and Class V (Hermetic Space) assembly, along with Class N (Plastic B) and Class P (Plastic Space) for non hermetic plastic packages.

These added certifications enable us to provide MIL certified manufacturing services across both hermetic and non hermetic packages, supporting supplier partners and customers that require qualified assembly, electrical test screening, and qualification for military and space applications. Such capabilities are critical for programs where compliance, traceability, and long term availability are essential.

Rochester is also the first subcontractor certified by DLA to offer manufacturing services for Class N and Class P products, both in the United States and internationally, further reinforcing our leadership in certified semiconductor manufacturing.

DLA is currently updating our official QML certification letters to formally reflect the addition of Classes V, N, and P, as well as expanded test methods. Once finalized, these updates will further document our expanded scope of qualified services.
