Rochester Electronics has partnered with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the largest non-profit organization for women in engineering and technology, to bring educational, networking, and advancement opportunities to our employees.
Diverse perspectives fuel innovation. At Rochester Electronics we prioritize cultivating a diverse and inclusive workforce for the success of each of our employees.
Part of supporting a diverse workforce is providing employees with the resources they need for advancement. Through this partnership, Rochester can offer employees memberships to SWE, connecting our staff to a network of women and allies around the globe. Groups like SWE play an important role in giving women and underrepresented groups in STEM professions a means of meeting like-minded peers and developing strategies and solutions to advance professionally.
SWE’s Advance Learning Center features hundreds of webinars and e-Learning courses, covering important topics for women in engineering. These educational courses provide relevant insights and strategies for members.
SWE offers learning opportunities through online and print content:

SWE is an organization supporting women in engineering, but the non-profit recognizes that a need for resources beyond gender. SWE’s Affinity Groups (AGs) are small groups within the organization where individuals share a common element of diversity and work collaboratively together.
Members of SWE have a unique opportunity to practice leadership skills outside of the workplace by holding leadership positions at the local and national levels. These opportunities prepare employees for experiences they will face in their careers and give them the confidence to approach leadership roles earlier than they may have otherwise.
Rochester looks forward to supporting our employees in advancing their careers and connecting with the world’s largest network of women and allies in engineering.
