Rochester Solves Long-term Supply Chain Challenges with NXP Sensors

Over 1.5 million solutions in stock

Over the past two decades, the development and use of electronic sensors has increased exponentially. Their inclusion into the Internet of Things and automotive applications has driven significant advances in both technology and integration. With over 30 years of experience, NXP Semiconductors has been an industry leader in providing sensor solutions, alongside the supporting microcontrollers and processors that many applications require. NXP’s sensor technologies include pressure, magnetic, and temperature sensors, along with accelerometers.

As with other technologies that have seen rapid advancements, managing a consistent and long-term supply chain can be a challenge. To face this issue, NXP has partnered with Rochester Electronics for continued customer support for both active and obsolete devices. Rochester has over 1.5 million units of NXP sensor products in stock, covering a variety of technologies.

In addition to our current inventory, Rochester and NXP continually evaluate products that may require extended customer support. This has been demonstrated with Rochester’s engagement with NXP’s MPC860 processors, where Rochester has acquired inventory to support last-time-buy requirements and is in the process of developing a long-term manufacturing solution. Rochester is providing extended support for NXP Sensors FXLN837x, MMA8451Q, MMA8452Q, and MMA8453Q accelerometers, with additional support for FXLN84xx, MMA836x, FXOS8700CQR1 - 6-Axis Ecompass (3-Axis Mag, 3-Axis Accel) sensors and more exclusive inventory arriving throughout 2023. Additionally, discussions are underway on acquiring MMA865xQR1, MMA849x, and FXLS8962 devices.
