Rochester Electronics Enhances STMicroelectronics Offerings for Long-Term Support
Offering extended lifecycle management solutions for obsolete and active components
Rochester Electronics continues to build on its partnership with STMicroelectronics by providing customers with extended product lifecycle management and expanding our 100% authorized, traceable, and guaranteed offering of obsolete and older date code active components.
Rochester's offering reflects STMicroelectronics’ strong portfolio of analog solutions, with over 90 million units covering 1,800 part number options. This includes many power management solutions, including voltage regulators, references, supervisory devices, and a wide selection of operational amplifiers and analog comparators.
A selection of previously obsoleted microcontrollers is also offered. This extended availability allows customers to continue existing designs rather than facing the combined software and hardware challenges that a redesign presents. Three key micros within this selection are the ST7FLITE, ST72F32x, and STR71xF families.
The ST7FLITE and ST72F32x devices offer an efficient 8-bit CPU with Flash memory and a peripheral mix to provide a cost-effective solution for a variety of applications, while STR71xF is a 32-bit ARM7TDMI solution with Flash memory offering capabilities for CAN, USB, HDLC interfaces, A/D converters, timers, and other peripherals.
