NXP Semiconductors is a leading supplier of microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs). Although market dynamics continually shift towards new product focuses, NXP recognizes the need for support throughout a customer’s product lifecycle.
Rochester Electronics has partnered with NXP to provide extended support for MPC563/MPC564 processors. In accordance with the December 16th NXP Last-Time-Buy (LTB) date notice, Rochester Electronics is now the exclusive source for these 32-bit, Power Architecture®, automotive-grade MCUs used in systems across many long-lifecycle industries, including aerospace, defense, and industrial, in addition to automotive.
Rochester will offer drop-in, pin-compatible replacements for NXP MPC563/64 processors, extending support beyond NXP’s last-ship date, available on November 30th, 2026. Leveraging our new U.S.-based BGA manufacturing capabilities and exclusive NXP EOL die purchase, we ensure uninterrupted production. Like our previous NXP MPC855T/860 program, these devices will be built from NXP-originated die using licensed assembly and test specs, requiring no design changes.
Rochester Electronics has a long-standing partnership with NXP — providing 100% authorized, traceable, certified, and guaranteed solutions. Our comprehensive NXP product portfolio includes a broad range of microprocessors, microcontrollers, power management, sensors, and RF/wireless products.
