Following NXP’s Last-Time-Buy (LTB) notices, Rochester Electronics is now the exclusive source for these 32-bit Power Architecture® automotive-grade microprocessors, which remain widely deployed across long-lifecycle industries such as aerospace, defense, industrial, and automotive. 

By Q4 2026, Rochester Electronics will offer drop-in, pin-compatible replacements for select MPC56x devices, enabling continued production beyond NXP’s last-ship dates. These solutions leverage Rochester’s U.S.-based BGA manufacturing capabilities and exclusive NXP end-of-life die purchases to ensure production continuity. Devices will be built from NXP-originated die using licensed assembly and test specifications, maintaining form, fit, and function without requiring design changes.
