Test & Burn-in
Rochester Electronics' 30,000-square-foot test facility, located in Newburyport, Massachusetts, provides comprehensive electrical, environmental, and burn-in testing of all types of semiconductors, including processors, controllers, memory, digital logic, mixed signal, analog, and more. All testing is expertly administered by our seasoned engineering staff, who have years of industry expertise in all these technologies.
Test program transfers- In many cases, Rochester will install the same model machines as used by the original manufacturer. This allows Rochester to use the manufacturer's factory approved programs when available. When the original test programs and/or the test systems are unavailable, REI test engineering can develop a new test program based on the latest revision of the data sheet. Some programs may be converted in order to be used on an existing test platform.
Rochester has wafer sort capability in-house for up to 8-inch (200mm) wafers using either Electroglas or TEL probers. Hot and cold probing services are available. KGD services are in-process.
Rochester has the capability to lead scan and straighten many package types such as DIP, PLCC, SO, PGA, etc. Custom lead-forming services are also available.
Rochester is a QML manufacturer capable of building military products certified to M38510, SMD, customer SCD, standard 883, etc. REI has the capability to make several military grade components not currently listed. Please inquire for options.

Rochester can offer burn-in services if needed. Rochester has DSCC lab suitability for method 1015 and method 1005 burn-in. Static and dynamic burn-in is routinely performed.
Rochester's Quality Department approves ALL test programs and burn-in circuits prior to use by Rochester manufacturing.
Rochester capacity is mainly used for Rochester manufactured devices. However, Rochester does provide test services on request. In addition to customer testing, Rochester also provides testing services to some of our suppliers.
We continually update our test equipment to make sure we can guarantee the most accurate testing available.
