Summary of Position
Self-motivated, self-directed individual to implement and manage Rochester’s BOM (Bill of Material) Analysis program as well as support other key Product Marketing functions, including but not limited to Rochester’s Manufacturing product List maintenance, wafer x-referencing, EOL (end of life) notice management, and supporting supplier team activities through research and analysis of products.
Essential Job Requirements· Outline a detailed plan for Rochester’s BOM Analysis program based on research and the goals/needs of various departments within the company.· Research tools and methods for establishing a BOM Analysis tool and make recommendations to management for implementation.· Re-launch BOM Analysis program across all regions and among all Rochester sales teams, emphasizing the goals and requirements of the program.· Establish guidelines for customer BOMs and set up a process for completing analysis in a manner which meets/exceeds the needs of the customer as well as creating a sales tool for Rochester personnel and creating a database of customer data which can be used internally for research and planning.· Process customer Bills of Materials to identify sales opportunities through Rochester’s inventory, manufacturing capabilities and re-creation solutions.· Identify possible alternates and cross-reference solutions through research and knowledge of the semiconductor industry.· Deliver detailed and understandable reports to customers and salespeople with well-written summaries and explanations as needed.· Lead marketing efforts of Rochester’s BOM Analysis program through efforts with Marketing and Communications, such as e-news, video demonstrations, customer discussions, development of dedicated marketing materials.· Generate regular reports based on data collected, such as recommendations for Rochester manufacturing suggestions, supplier development recommendations, hit rates on BOMs, no-bid data follow up, and others.o Monthly reporting of wafer receipts from OEM partners and identification of the part types which can be manufactured from those receipt
4 year degree required
Need to have experience with semiconductor part nomenclature among a wide variety of manufacturers.
Detailed understanding of customer needs with regards to semiconductor requisition process and purchasing methods.
Excellent attitude and ability to work closely with a wide range of staff.
